it’s obviously really weird that cityroom is blogging so hard about valerie this week but this is Important to the extent that “society for cutting up men” as SCUM acronym was probably an invention of maurice girodias, VS’s editor and the first person to publish the manifesto. SCUM as acronym for androcide (?) is one of the first things people point to to discount valerie (even though lol killing men is the only thing that makes sense in this crazy workaday go-go-90s world) and of course it’s probably some idiot-dude’s idea. whatever. love you forever valerie.
